Custom Creature Collection: Project 01

Welcome to the Custom Creature Collection Project 01!

In this project we will create and critique Custom Monsters for Our Edition. We will have a few Themes/Types of Creatures to work on at a time, although we do not require that a Custom Monster fit any or all of the themes, it is just preferred to fit into one of those themes at this time.

This is my High Priestess of Torog. In my campaign she was a woman with a genetic disease that caused her pain that increases exponentially the older she gets. And she turned to Torog so she could learn to accept the pain and turn it into power instead of being destroyed by the pain one way or another like the rest of her family.

This is a level 3 elite version of the level 15 minion Broken Wrackspawn. The method I use when turning a monster from one tier to another is that a monster of a one tier is the same thing as a monster of a higher tier 6 levels below it or a lower tier 6 levels above it. So a level 15 minion is the same as a level 9 standard which is the same as a level 3 elite.

The Cultists of Amalgamations use the powers shown in the Torog Monster theme listed in the Torog Dragon article. But I took and made entire monsters outof those powers except the centipede cultist I basically just reskinned and tweaked the centipede monster. But it still acts as an example. Just a note all Torog cultist tokens are just a picture of their defining tattoo. Which I pulled from the same article.

I made the level 5 torog hedonists for my campaign and on a whim I minionized them since the angel of torment thats supposed to command them was level 18.

The Torog Bondslave and Penitent I made just for this thread. There were two more unused tattoo images in the Torog article so I used those as my inspiration.

Here are actually two modified devils. My method is to reduce a monster's level by 6 every time I upgrade it one tier and vice versa. This way I can use monsters that are outside my party's range. Plus it gives a more definitive feel of power progression when they face that solo Ice devil again 12 levels later and its just a standard.

I just had an unfortunate realization.The html to image site hosts the images only temporarily it seems. I'm going to have to upload all my statblock image to photobucket.
