I just seen this over at the WotC forums and wanted to post it here.

Spoiler:

What do you guy's think of this piece? What of the goblins?

I personally like the way this art style feels I I hope to see lots of it. It gives it a sorta classic fantasy feel. Though the goblins will take some time to get used to.

Looks like the art is going to be the best thing about the new edition. Between this and the character gender section in the Basic pdf, it looks like WotC have finally woken up to the idea that inclusivity is a good thing.

The actual game itself is still nothing I ever want to play, though.

Yeah, I'm super impressed with the presentation of it all so far. And that character generation section is the most awesome thing I've seen in a long time! I will certainly lean the rules in case I get involved in convention play sometime. But it feels oo much like 1e/2e to me right now. I left that edition 14 years ago.
