My 4E Stat Blocks Empty
PostSubject: My 4E Stat Blocks   My 4E Stat Blocks EmptySun Sep 15, 2013 10:53 am

It seems that I create about 30 stat blocks a week as a tinker around my current Neverwinter campaign and prepare my next two campaigns. I post them on my blog but I thought I also might start posting links to the stat blocks I have created just in case anyone here might be able to use them.

Fair warning: I run 4E from about 1st- to 12th/15th-level and I am an old school DM who believes that an ogre is a level 4 brute (1E: 4 hit dice) and a hill giant is a level 8 brute (1E: 8 hit dice) as just two examples. Another example: my drow aren't paragon threats; they start at level 2 just like they did in 1E. As a result, my stat blocks are lower level than the extant 4E versions of the monsters might suggest.

Here are of my derro:

Here is a band of NPC mercenaries:

And here are two posts (with more to come) with my Zhents stat blocks:

I hope someone can get some use out of them.

.monster files are also available.

What program do you use to make those stat blocks?

I use Adventure Tools, WotC's online monster builder.

I print to PDF, crop, and then save as a .jpg.

Oh, duh. I've stopped using that since I find the builder to be incredibly slow, and the export file is pretty clunky.

If you think it is slow where you are, try living in a Third World country like I do! Smile

I keep both Firefox and Chrome open because some days the monster builder works on Firefox but not on Chrome; other days it's the other way around. And, of course, there are days when the connection here is so slow it doesn't work on either. Smile
