Cthulhu Wars

So, I noticed that this didn't have a thread. Figured I'd start one.

I was able to make enough in time for the kickstarter before it finished, so I grabbed the Cultes Des Ghoules pack, the Faction Expansion Bundle, the High Priest pack, and bought the mystery GOO. Winter this year is going to be fun as hell :)

Anyone else put down on this? Anyone planning on picking it up when it hits shelves this winter? It's looking really great so far from what we've been shown of it, and it keeps getting better :)

Holy...uh, cow, that looks awesome!  

I'm pretty hyped about it myself. The Opener of the Way set is almost finalized in its figures, so I'm looking forward to seeing a play demo vid of them some time later this month/early next month

I've been calling it "Cthulhu Risk" to describe it myself. I'm sure there are other strategy games out there it resembles more though.

But yea, you control the cult of a Great Old One and try to bring ruin to the world in your master's name, fighting with rival cults and elder entities along the way. Each faction has their own unique aspects to make them different from the rest. Nyarlathotep's units, for example, can all move 2 spaces for the cost of 1, and Shub Niggurath's units can summon multiple monsters from multiple gates at a time instead of just one at a time like other units can.

There are 7 total factions in production for launch, 4 included with the base game, and there are talks of other factions being released in the future, so there's plenty of room for the game to grow to have up to 8 players at a time :)

Nice minis too.

The D&D Board games had some nice minis too. I might just have to check this out as I like Lovecraft style games, and minis.
