I was fiddling with the Fighter for a 4e based game I was thinking of. All of this is very rough, and very rushed. I came up with this in a day. I just wanted to share it here for opinions to possibly better it.

So you're basically burning hit points to do more than a basic attack?
Unless that's true for EVERY class in this game you're building I gotta say I don't like it.

No. Hit points are a completely separate thing. And yes, every class would have some sort of pool of points. Wizards would have mana, Barbarians rage, Clerics spirit/mana of some sort. Also Utility power will still be present for martial characters. Healing Surges would restore stamina as would spells, and possible potions. I have more written out now. This was just a bare bones test.

Saying you just dislike it really isn't helping though. What would you change? Granted this literally only took me about an hour to think of I would like to design other classes similar to this while still keeping it 4e at it's core.

I was also dropping the whole 1/2 level thing. I seen that you had done that and I genuinely liked what you were saying.
