I figured I would share this video with everyone here, as this is the video that really inspired me to create this forums, and thought that those here could relate and appreciate the video.
Please be sure to check out PhDnD's other videos, they are very good and informative.

Thanks for the video. I'm new here but it's refreshing to see 4th edition being seen in a positive light. Keep it up!

I would like to see a video showing specifically a take on what was derived from 4e in 5e
My son and his friends play 5e ignoring some 5e rules (inspiration) and inserting 4e ones like flanking and 5 minute short rests and similar.

They also noticed that a 5e Paladin was able to single handedly destroy an encounter designed for a 5e group 3 levels higher.

Definitely some cool rules you can borrow from 4E (like your son and his friends). Here's a great video on some specific ideas.

I had seen that one... the fact that many fun and interesting things were left behind is exactly one of my issues with 5e - removing all the Bloodied triggered abilities seems like it would make the flow of combat itself inherently less interesting.
My son is playing a Homebrew class called the Noble -- which is basically a new incarnation of my Princess Build Warlord I introduced on Enworld (concurrently with the Lazylord showing up elsewhere so my ego should remain in check, others thought of it )
5es encouragement of homebrew I like but at times it seems back to the damn this is broken I have to fix it levels of AD&D but we have hidden the games numbers so much that homebrew sucks 9 out 10.
Sorry if I am wasting this thread snarking on 5e when it should be celebrating 4e.
AND that is without the balance issues their lassez faire ideas of balance brought back to the game.

I have started investigating your 4e videos by the way
